Georgia Wilkinson began her classical training six years ago when she was accepted into the Victorian College of the Arts Secondary School (VCASS) for classical voice. In 2009, she became the first year 11 student at the Victorian College of the Arts Secondary School to be awarded the Robert Salzer Voice Award.
Performing in musicals and operettas since the age of 9, Georgia has had the opportunity to play lead roles such as Christine in Phantom of the Opera, Belle in Beauty and the Beast, Maria in West Side Story, Charity Barnum in Barnum and Gertrude in Seussical. In the last four years she has been awarded a Guild award and four Lyrebird awards. Georgia became ‘Opera Scholar of the Year’ through the Opera Scholars Australia program in 2012, making her the youngest vocalist to ever win this prestigious award. She has placed in multiple competitions, including winning the Ringwood Aria Competition in 2013, and has been awarded numerous scholarships through her university for her impressive work.
